Seoul's Best Toilets

Sunday...
We went to church! Of course! It was honestly kind of nice to hear English and to not be the minority for a few hours. I was shocked at the number of children there were. I think there were more children in primary then there are people in my home ward back in Boise. It was crazy! Speaking of Boise, while we were out at one of the markets, some guy asked me where I was from. He guessed I was from Russia and I said, no. Because I'm not from Russia at all. I told him I was from America and he asked where in America. I told him Idaho. He said, "no no, where from?" I replied with Idaho. Again he said no and asked where I was from. I gave up and said California. He suddenly got a huge smile and nodded his head. He has a friend somewhere in America and wondered if I knew him. Nope. Sorry. I'll keep my eye out though.
Anyways...after church we took some hearty naps and then drove to the Seoul LDS Temple. It was beautiful! The funny thing is that the Seoul Korea, Dallas Texas and Boise Idaho temples all look a lot alike and those are the last three places I've been. Everywhere just feels like home. It's incredible how the church can do that. I've definitely felt out of place and like I'm the minority here. At times it has been intimidating, but the one common thing around the world that can bring so much comfort is the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The gospel is the same here in Korea as it was in Texas and as it will be when I go to Jerusalem. When I'm at church, it feels like home, no matter where I am in the world. I love that! I also can't imagine moving to a foreign country, not knowing the language and trying to make friends or get your way around with out the church. I've seen how much it has helped Tiff and Adam and it's such a blessing in our lives.
The Seoul Temple was beautiful and we had some pretty dang cute kids to photograph that were completely adorable!

I've never seen such cute pigtails!

Tiff and I have been making fun of everyone on dates in their matching outfits...
I don't think we realized what was actually going on...

These kids did NOT want to sit down for a picture

Rock and his Tuna Cali! We're the best of friends!

This was the only happy picture we could get!
On our way back from the temple, Adam dropped Tiffany and I off at a building that we discovered had Seoul's Best Toilets for 2005 and 2011. THIS WAS HUGE! I didn't even know there was a contest for this! We were ecstatic at this find and immediate ran in!

They had very small toilets, for very small people

We're too big for them...

These ones stink, stank and stunk!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Best Toilets in Seoul but forgot to leave our calling card! I don't know what we were thinking!! We let our brother, Todd, down on that one. We'll have to go back and take care of that.
After we put the kids to bed, we went out to a bridge to see the light show they do each night. They synchronized the lights and water with the music and it was so much fun and absolutely beautiful!

My favorite was when they played Celine Dion

And guess what we found...matching dates!! Just like Tiff and I!

Monday...
Today we went to Building 63, which as you might have guessed, has 63 floors! The bottom floor has a wax museum but we voted against scaring the children for life so we went to the aquarium and the top floor Skyart instead. We think it was a much better choice.
"Did you know, there are 17 species of penguins and only two live in the arctic..." - Jolyn Laney :)

I'm standing on top of a shark tank. Just a wee bit terrifying!
Tiffany couldn't resist the Long Horn Fish...seeing as she's lived in Texas

Took some sweet boys on the date to the aquarium.

These may look fake, but do not be deceived...they are REAL!

These kids are impossible to get good pictures with

Is Rock peeing?

Oh, I guess not!

On top of the building. As I've said before, these kids are impossible for pictures

I finally had Bulgogi!! It was incredibly delicious. I loved everything on this plate!

This is food from Lotteria. It's the Korean version of McDonald's. The kids can't tell the difference
